Ramblings.........

Okay I must be a "slug" as I don't watch Big Brother nor am I interested in Harry Potter books or movies. Tried one of the HP movies awhile back and about fell asleep in the theater. So I'll continue to "slug surf" the internet, etc. LOL Have a good Sunday whoever is reading this.

Mike and Matt boxing

Mike bought a Wii unit and came over and shared it with all of us last night.
My two sons were so INTENSE while boxing I had to share this picture. It really gave them
a workout! The rest of us enjoyed a "mild" game of bowling together. At $250 a Wii, I think
I might wait on purchasing one although granddaughter REALLY can bowl well!
Amazing these new gadgets, huh?

El Centro Today

Today drove to be with my Dad and take him to his physician's office for a checkup. His MRSA is back so they are treating it agressively as usual. His LDL cholesterol is elevated so they started him on Zetia. Got new Rx's for his meds so he is good to go on a flight to WI and back next month. I always worry about my brother who lives with him, getting MRSA too. For the last 3 years of Dad flying to WI he has had a stroke each time when he arrived in WI. This is the first time he will be on meds. that will control everything we hope so that he has a wonderful 2 weeks back on the farm.

It reached 113F there and I was so glad to be home by 4 p.m. PST. When I got home, Dad's attorney sent the rough copy of Dad's living trust for me to look over. It has some errors so tomorrow I will get that straightened out.

Okay time for cleaning the kitchen and early to bed here.

Our Sweetheart Fell into Grandparent's Pool

Luckily our granddaughter has had swim lessons, and that she fell into the shallow end.Uncle Matt and Grandpa were right there to get her out. Hmmm......deja vu as the same thing happened to her dad (our son) when he was 7. Wonder if kids will ever stop "running" around pools. Better safe than sorry. Grandma requires swim lessons before one enters the pool area. It has paid off twice now. Isabella is SUCH a sweetie!

Dead Sea Scrolls Exhibit

Monday I had the opportunity to see the Dead Sea Scrolls Exhibit in San Diego, CA. What a wonderful experience and so enlightening. Can't wait until I go to the Holy Land to experience the area for myself.
