Academic Achievement Award 3-14-08

Sunday Brunch
Granddaughter, son and DIL took us out to brunch here today.
Casa de Pico used to be in Old Town, San Diego but had to move locations when the Old Town San Diego lease was up. Luckily, the restaurant is now closer inland and so much closer to where I live. Granddaughter was so well behaved and captured the hearts of the waitresses and other guests. Because of all the deep rich color and art in the restaurant, lil one was totally entertained. She sits up now in a high chair using a Floppy insert.
My, the things they have for babies these days. Amazing and so much more sanitary! So friends, if you are ever in San Diego, I would love to take you for lunch to Casa de Pico for a margarita or what I had, Diet Pepsi!

Tooth.......and report card
Iliana got her first tooth showing today. What a fun thing it is. She is such a chewer and has been since she was 2 months old.
So we can roll over, have a first tooth and scoot using both hind legs. Beautiful Isabella got her report card today (GRADE 1) She excels in all her academic areas. Am so proud of my son and his lovely wife for all they do to encourage learning in their home.
Ahhhhhhhhhhhh grandparenting. Such fun to watch "from a distance!"

Ahhhhhhhhh..Oh beautiful for spacious skies and....EAGLES!!!!!
The cold temperatures (-5F) came with a deep blue sky. The wind hasn't started and the snow from earlier in the week is still piled up. These eagles were about 400 foot from our house in Eagle River, Alaska.
