Saturday Night and My Dad
Saturday night and rainy and blustery out there as Winnie the Pooh would say. After leaving my Dad's yesterday I wonder why he has to suffer. At his age he should be relishing in all the abilities he CAN do not be in pain with blisters that are so painful from MRSA. I keep praying for him. Those of you reading my blog, please, if you so choose say a prayer or think positive thoughts for him. I would be so appreciative. AT 86 he deserves PEACE in body, mind and his spirit....I hope God gives him good health again. Yesterday was the 11th that he started taking his meds for the MRSA again. Takes 10 days if it works again. I will call him tomorrow to hear how he is doing.
Thanks for reading this.
Hugs,
Cheryl

I HATE MRSA
MRSA
Also called: Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus
MRSA stands for methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus. It causes an infection that is resistant to several common antibiotics. There are two types of infection. Hospital-associated MRSA happens to people in healthcare settings. Community-associated MRSA happens to people who have close skin-to-skin contact with others, such as athletes involved in football and wrestling.
Infection control is key to stopping MRSA in hospitals. To prevent community-associated MRSA
Practice good hygiene
Keep cuts and scrapes clean and covered with a bandage until healed
Avoid contact with other people’s wounds or bandages
Avoid sharing personal items, such as towels, washcloths, razors, or clothes
Wash soiled sheets, towels and clothes in hot water with bleach and dry in a hot dryer
If a wound appears to be infected, see a healthcare provider. Treatment may include draining the infection and antibiotics.
I HATE MRSA!
